Our scientists from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy are participating in a prestigious project of observing the European tectonic plate. The National Information Processing Institute (which has a status National Research Institute) has signed a contract for carrying out the EPOS-PL programme, which received 53 million PLN.

We know increasingly more about the important role the microbiome plays in the human body, and how it changes depending on stressful situations. Stress also disturbs the microbiology of the digestive system in farm animals – says Natalia Szeligowska, a PhD student from the Faculty of Animal Biology and Breeding at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and the lead author of a publication that appeared in the BMC Veterinary Research journal.

Scientists from three Priority Research Areas adopted at the university – Veterinary Science, Technology and Food Sciences, and Environmental Sciences – submitted 22 project applications from October 2021 to March 2022 in international competitions for research projects under the Horizon Europe programme.
